Three areas – a lounge, a café, and a games area – are defined by furniture groupings and lighting that were designed specifically for the café and used with a wooden chair that was a specified product. The serving bar, constructed of Baltic plywood ribs covered with a translucent resin and fiberglass sheet material, was designed as an architectural lantern and casts a warm glow over the space whether opened or closed. Designed in collaboration with Nathalie de Leval and Chris Howker. Winner of student café design competition, Royal College of Art, London (UK) 1997. UK Design Week Awards 1997 in Restaurants category.
